Making trendy stretch silicone bracelet

With sew-on settings & Aurora crystals

11/02/2022
Making trendy stretch silicone bracelet

Stretch silicone bracelets have entered our world recently. They are trendy, suitable for any occasion, and most importantly, shiny and sparkly.

We have seen them this year at the most significant global fashion events.

Many fashion jewelry brands offer them and the truth is that making such bracelets is quite simple.

Once bracelets with small crystals were popular, contemporary fashion said: the bigger the better.

Whether you sell them in your store or prepare them for yourself, in this tutorial we will go through the process of how you can make glittery bracelets that fit any style in a few simple steps.

At GITA, we offer all the components you need to make the bracelets, and for those who do not want to work hard, you can also find finalized bracelets (with silicone and settings) without the crystals.

The topics we will cover in this tutorial

  • Tools and components needed to make sparkling silicone crystal bracelets.

  • Step by step guide - making silicone bracelets

  • Quick styling ideas & trendy color combinations

Tools and components for making sparkling silicone bracelets with crystals.

The materials you need for making this kind of bracelet are:

Step by step

Step 1: Prepper the elements for the bracelet.

This cup chain bracelet can stretch a bit and slide on the wrist when wearing it, but not more than that, it still needs to hold onto the hand quite closely.

The size is important when making this kind of bracelet, so you should see how many stone settings you need to use for one bracelet.

For example, these bracelets are 20 cm long and make a regular size bracelet.

Step 2: Creating the bracelet.

Each one of the stone settings, if it is a large 23mm square or a 18mm Rivoli, have two holes on each side that the silicon thread needs to slide through.

So, you need to fold the silicon thread in two and slide it into the top holes and the lower holes on each setting, and keep this order all the way to the end.

The ends of top and bottom lines of the silicon thread need to meet inside the stone setting so it will be closed nicely without showing any of it. Slide a small crimp bead and press it tightly with the help of the plier tool.

GITA's stone settings and charms are made of quality brass /  Tombac / Zamak / stainless steel metals and plated with the metal color of your choice (17 metal colors). Read more about GITA's plating colors.

Styling ideas & trendy color combinations

We have collected for you some ideas and tips for creating bracelets and combining materials that can create a unique look for your silicone bracelet:

  • Making a centerpiece with a few larger stone settings with crystals in the middle of the bracelet.

  • Make a bracelet with several kinds of stone settings and create your own designed cup chain combination.

  • The perfect type of jewelry to use one shape of stone setting, but in a variety of metal plating colors.

  • All charms are divided by their thematic collections and even collected by Sets, there you also can see all variations of jewelry bases with the same metal element.

  • It is recommended to use UNFOILED crystals to create a more radiant look - in these crystals, the light passes through the crystal cuts and creates spectacular reflections.

When choosing, large crystals will be improvised.

This is especially evident.

Have fun creating your own stretch cup chain bracelet for embedding Crystals!
