DIY - Learn how to glue 8pp crystals.
If you ever wondered how to make this tiny crystals jewelry, then here's a brief guide! Actually, it's much easier than you think...
This type of fashion jewelry with crystals has been gaining momentum in recent years. The metal base is timeless, and the colors vary from season to season and according to fashion trends.
The new Gita's set combines crystals and new flower metal casting decorated elements. All you need is to choose the right products for you: earrings, necklaces, bracelets, pendants and more ...Choose the plating - one of 21 options including Gold, Silver, Gold Matte, Rose Gold, Antique silver and more ...
In this inspiration
We chose Antique Silver plating that is recommended for this type of products. The blackening of the metal plating (which create the Antique look) highlights the small details of the jewelry making it look so gorgeous.
The products are available in 2 more types of Antique plating options: Antique Copper and Antique Brass.
The crystals we used for this Inspiration are Swarovski Crystals of 1.46mm / 8pp size in different colors. There are no rules which color looks better. The design can be done in a "Summer" or "Young" color combination, or by using three contrasting colors. Or a nautical look used in different shades of blue, or prestigious colors in the use of Crystals clear and Crystal AB. You can create your own unique style. What is important is to plan the correct amount of crystals of each color. (The number of crystals for each product you can see in the description of the models).

Gluing the Crystals:
As we said, stone placement is simple and requires no prior knowledge. In order to embed you will need:
-
A stick (a toothpick can also be used) and soft wax to catch the small crystals.
-
Glue - there are a number of adhesives that can be used for the adhesion of small crystals. We recommend using Swarovski glue number CG 500 (A+B) You can read more about the glue technique here.
-
Syringe with a pin tip to put the glue inside the small holes of the castings.
Because the crystals are very small and delicate work is required, it is recommended to use a dedicated tray, which can be easily converted so that their Chaton edge of a crystal will be turned up and easily picked up. It is definitely a time saver (You can also be used on A4 paper page to do the coup).
All the information about Swarovski Glues you can find here.
It is important to work properly with the glue and cover the entire back of the crystal with glue and drown it in the designated slot otherwise the crystals may fall.
Also, avoid excess adhesive so that the crystal can drown in the glue. There is a bit of leverage, that can be obtained while working.
It is recommended to use Prong pusher to close the teeth on the crystals.
Have fun creating with Gita Jewelry:)
